Glamorous boutiques such as Balenciaga, Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Frame, HermeÌ€s, Tom Ford and Valentino. Close by, the quaint three-blocks of Snider Plaza, located at Hillcrest and Lovers Lane, features specialty and gourmet options, beloved casual restaurants (Kuby’sPenne Pomodoro) and modern conveniences including a Tom Thumb grocery store, dry cleaner, nail salon and several banks.

Preston Center also has a variety of shops (Tootsies, J McLaughlin, Bachendorf’s), office space and quality restaurants (Il Bracco, Muchacho, HillstoneTrue Food Kitchen). Many of the children living in the Park Cities attend schools in the well-respected Highland Park Independent School District. A number of private schools with educational services for preschoolers to teens are also available including Ursuline Academy of Dallas, The Hockaday SchoolJesuit College Preparatory School of DallasSt. Mark’s School of Texas and more Southern Methodist University is a stately landmark in the area, a prestigious private research educational institution constructed in a classic Collegiate Georgian architecture and surrounded by lush landscaping across a lovely campus.

With nearly 12,000 students, Mustang athletics include football games played in Gerald J. Ford Stadium and basketball games at Moody Coliseum. The George W. Bush Presidential Center, also located within the boundaries of University Park near SMU, opened in 2013 with all living U.S. presidents in attendance. Today it is a worldwide humanitarian touchstone for a variety of events, activities and international conferences.
