Welcome to Preston Hollow

Local celebrities, local politicians, and even an influential world leader are residents of the fashionable Preston Hollow section of Dallas, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods anywhere in Texas. Large properties with grand homes, lush landscaping and shady live oaks dot the region in this exclusive sector, which is home to Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and former President George W. Bush. Originally a small settlement along the Cotton Belt rail line, Colleyville was originally known as Bransford.

Located about six miles north of Downtown Dallas, the neighborhood boasts several wooded areas that provide an extra level of privacy for residents while giving the well-established neighborhood some of its unique Texas character. Old Preston Hollow, dating back to the 1920s, features striking, pastoral-style homes. The area also boasts two parks with baseball and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts and beautifully shaded areas for picnics. The Northaven Trail is a commuter and recreational bike and hike trail built and maintained by Dallas Parks and Recreation. The nearby Katy Trail represents 3.5 miles of a jogging, walking, inline skating and bicycling path that runs through the area. Both provide excellent opportunities to enjoy fresh air around the area.

The Plaza at Preston Center is a few blocks south with a variety of shops (Tootsies, J McLaughlin, Bachendorf’s), office space and quality restaurants (Il Bracco, Muchacho, Hillstone, True Food Kitchen). And at Preston Royal Village, find additional options for munchies (Flower Child, Eatzi’s), as well as additional fashion and beauty needs. Plus, NorthPark Center, the area’s premier shopping mall, has a variety of high-end stores (Gucci, Carolina Herrera) and is within a short drive of Preston Hollow. Students who live in the neighborhood have the option to attend Dallas Independent School District facilities or a number of private schools, including The Hockaday School, Ursuline Academy, Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas, Episcopal School of Dallas, St. Mark's School of Texas, and Good Shepherd Episcopal School. Christ the King (Park Cities), St. Alcuin, St. Rita, St. Thomas, and St. Monica are all nearby for Catholic education.

Travel is a snap for residents as they are close to both Dallas Love Field Airport, home of Southwest Airlines, as well as D/FW International Airport, home base for American Airlines. Bounded by Northwest Highway, Royal Lane, and Preston and Midway Roads, Preston Hollow is the ideal neighborhood to call home where residents can enjoy the benefits of being near Dallas but are far enough away to avoid the direct hustle and flow of the city.
